Conditions of Entry and Registration

The deadline for applications ended on the 10th June 2010.
We’re excited about the many interesting applications.
The announcement for participation in the semifinal will take place before the 19th July 2010.

Piano trios / piano quartets of all nationalities whose members' combined age does not exceed 87 (piano trio) or 116 (piano quartet) are eligible to enter the 2nd International Commerzbank Chamber Music Award. Prize winners of the 1st International Commerzbank Chamber Music Award cannot participate.

To register correctly, competitors must ensure that by 10 June 2010 at the latest a sample recording (DVD) has been submitted to the competition office together with the following papers:

• the completed registration form
• bank confirmation that the registration fee has been transferred
• complete account information of competitor for repayment of registration fee in the event of non-selection
• a resume of the ensemble and individual curricula vitae of its members
• photocopies of the ensemble members' birth certificates or passports
• high-resolution photographs (at least 300 dpi)
• a list of the pieces prepared

Only ensembles that have transferred the registration fee in time can be considered for entry in the competition.

On receipt of the registration fee the competition office will confirm registration in writing.

Registration fees will be refunded as follows:
Non-selection: 100%
Withdrawal prior to 1 August 2010: 80%
Withdrawal prior to 1 September 2010: 50%

Competitors are responsible for their own travel expenses. Accommodation costs will be borne by Commerzbank AG.

In registering, competitors accept the terms and conditions of the competition.
